Reforestation, reimagined.

Forest fire landscape, smoky, red

We’re on a mission to plant 1 billion trees by 2028.

We merge UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) technology, automation, and ecological science to reforest post-wildfire areas on a global scale. With increased speed, access, and safety, our automated drone reforestation technology is built to respond to the urgent needs of the global climate crisis.

Full ecosystem recovery.

  • We choose species that are native to our planting locations, have high sequestration rates, and thrive in post-burn environments.

  • Our tech maps out ideal planting locations and averages a planting density of 1,000-2,000 trees/hectare.

  • At full capacity, we aim to plant 1 million seed pods per day under the supervision of two UAV operators.

Our Story

Climate change is the largest existential threat we face as a species today, however we are quickly losing one of our best mechanisms for combating it: trees. Earth loses an average of 26 million hectares of trees each year, with over 30% attributed to wildfires. Despite the growing need for reforestation, tree planting is still largely executed by hand and shovel, a method that is laborious, difficult, and has limited accessibility. We started Flash Forest to accelerate the rate of global reforestation and tip the scales in the fight against climate change.

Our Partners

We work with multiple partners on a per-project basis to ensure our planting costs stay low and our trees grow. Every corporate partnership is matched by government dollars.

  • We help groups take their environmental impact to new heights, planting trees on their behalf to help evolve their business model or become leaders on the UN's SDG 13 goals.

  • We partner with public and private landowners in the Canada Boreal and the Pacific Northwest to reforest post-burn landscapes that need it most.

  • We work with seed suppliers, drone manufacturers, and other corporations to ensure our production line is streamlined.
